Human or AI? (Global Game Jam 2026)
A downloadable game for Windows
You are a border control officer in a world where robots are forbidden.
Your job is simple: let humans pass, stop robots trying to blend in, using a set of advanced tools such as offering a glass of water or asking carefully chosen questions.
The catch? Those robots are getting very good at pretending!
Built entirely through AI-assisted vibecoding, this game is an experiment as much as a game. Every system, line of code, and mechanic has been created using custom AI-driven tools and workflows, under human overview, in less than 48 hours, as part of Global Game Jam 2026.
Developed by Chainsaw Team, an international group of game developers and AI researchers, this project explores what happens when human intent and machine creativity blur at the border.
Details on the tech stack used is discussed at https://chainsawteam.com/blog/ai-native-stack-ggj-2026

Technology Notes
The game is a tech demo to test new tools, it is built using LÖVE (Love2D) as its core framework. Development was driven through AI-assisted vibecoding, using OpenCode with multiple large language models to support planning, architecture, and implementation.
On top of LÖVE, the project runs on ChainsawFramework, a custom multi-purpose game architecture designed for rapid iteration and experimentation. UI development was handled through ChainsawLoveUIEditor, an in-house visual UI editor created specifically for this project.
Together, these tools form a custom workflow that blends human direction with AI-driven development, allowing the team to explore new ways of building games collaboratively with machines.

Hi Chainsaw Team — your 48-hour Human or AI? build and custom LÖVE tooling stood out. We’re inviting a small group of creators to try a product for building both 2D and 3D games, with free access and upcoming model tests. Would the team be interested in giving candid workflow feedback?
